Finished Goddess Postcard - Creative Every Day

Here's the finished postcard that the beginning of is photographed in the previous post. I think it turned out pretty well.

It is made from green commercial wool, green and taupe hand dyed silk top and purple/green and orange/yellow hand dyed alpaca, which were then needle felted onto a purplely grey wool felt background.

I then trimmed it and glued it to a watercolour post card backing. It may go out into the world as a Random Act of Kindness to one of my friends. Who knows where it will land?

The spiral touch, and choice of color, is very nice! Plus the shiney too!!!

Oh, I loved how it came out!
did you hand felt it?
I have done some little things for the DGD, a bird and a pumpkin, but never the flat felting...
Soemthing new to try!

Thanks Anne and Lutra for your kind comments.

I response to your question, Lutra, yes, I hand needle felted with a single needle and also with that Clover Handle that holds 5 needles and the Clover Pen Felter that holds 3 needles. Loves those sharp needles, love the protective pieces that keep me from putting one through my finger...
