Cotton Fern Clog Socks

I am nearly finished with my cotton Fern Clog Socks. Here's a preview. They are knit from Sockina, a self-patterning cotton and nylon blend yarn. These were also the second effort at knitting with two circular needles. I must say, I love my DPNs, but I can't lose nor break 2 circs as easily whilst traveling and knitting.

I wear a lot of clogs and slides, so these socks are a perfect fit in more ways than one.

The lace pattern only goes up the heel and calf, for show and the rest of the sock is in stocking stitch.

Of course, the pattern is available from Ravelry.

These are beautiful Leslie. I've had this pattern a long time and continue to *think* about knitting a pair.
Well, maybe when the weather turns colder. I tend to be a Fall thru Winter knitter. I guess I have too much to care for in the Summer!

(my verification word is *press* which is exactly what I've been doing, pressing shirts......how did they know???)

These socks are amazing! What beautiful patterning. I like to knit in straight lines. Circular needles are so interesting to me!

Thanks for sharing the photos from the Celtic festival too. What fun!

Happy 4th!

I love the socks. I bought a tube for carrying my double points with me while traveling (Mary carries it). The sock sticks out of the tube, but haven't broken or lost a needle (or a stitch) since I started carrying the socks in that!
