Gratitude for the Quilt Mavericks
I belong to an on-line quilt group called the Quilt Mavericks. Our motto is "My Quilt, My Rules." They are a wonderfully irreverent, bright, talented group of women and men who have inspired me and carried me through a horrible time in my life when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001. They have caused me to think, laugh, love, learn and expand my quilting horizons. I just want to express my gratitude to all of the Quilt Mavericks for being a part of my life.
The reason I am writing this up is because one of our members has had the week from Hell and the outpouring of compassion, information and prayers for Luana (owner of eQuilter)and her family at this time of trial has amazed and humbled me. This is the evidence that makes me appreciate them all so very much.
Since I am not sure that I tell the people that mean the most to me how much I appreciate them, I am writing this post today as a public way of expressing how much I appreciate all those in my life who bring so much to it.
Thank you all for being there.

I feel the same way about the lovely Mav's!
I am thankful for them every day.
There are times when they are the only bright spot in my day.
I treasure you all!
P.S. I love the little tin that you made. It's really cool.
Thanks for the comment on my tin and the birthday wishes. I want to see a picture of Sorren in her twirly dress..
Leslie, you have me about in tears my dear. You do realize that you are one of the major reasons the Mavs are the Mavs, because of what you bring to us as well! Love ya girl.

Thanks Margi, I am a sock-a-holic too. I have a pair of wool for every day of the week and 2 pair to wash. I plan the same for summer socks as well. Then there are the stockings for my re-enacting...
Thanks for the comment. I feel the same way.

I feel the same way Leslie, well said! We are a special group indeed, and I'm so thankful to have been part of it all this time. I hope you're having a faboo birthday dearie!
I appreciate all your comments both here and at the QMs. I am glad to know I expressed your thoughts well. I needed to write, as it's not often we tell those who need to hear how we feel about them.
Even though I don't participate much anymore, I DO read all the posts. I am so happy to be a Mav too. They are a very special group, to be sure!
And a belated Happy Birthday to you too!
:D
Oh, you quilt, too??!!?? I've never made a quilt, but recently, I bought all of the supplies and fabric to make one. It's been one of my dreams to make one myself.
I love the name, "Quilt Mavericks"!
